January's full moon was often called the Hunger Moon since food is scarce and predators are particularly hungry.
This year, thanks to the Moon being both a Supermoon and part of a total lunar eclipse which will cause it to appear copper or reddish (a “Blood Moon”), January’s full Moon is being called the “Super Blood Wolf Moon.”
