She Who Hears The Cries Of The World

Quan Yin is the pre-eminent goddess in all of Asia. You find her in China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Burma, Thailand and other countries.

In the Buddhist tradition, she is the Celestial Bodhisattva of Compassion. A bodhisattva is someone who does spiritual practice with the goal of achieving full enlightenment, but just before she arrives at that point, she makes the decision not to receive full enlightenment until the rest of the world has as well. Then she steps into the world and works to alleviate suffering and to awaken beings to their true nature.

According to legend, Quan Yin was about to enter heaven but paused on the threshold as the cries of the world reached her ears.

Quan Yin is known to be a protector of children. She is often portrayed with a child in her arms, near her feet, or on her knees, or with several children around her. For this reason, and for her compassionate, nurturing nature, I consider her as the Mother aspect of the Goddess...as well as a Saviour archetype.

The Great Teacher

Nature is considered to be the Great Teacher. The Ancients taught that the "Creators" placed into the fabric of Creation, a reflection of that which created it. Therefore, the laws of Nature are reflections of Divine Laws or Principles, which operate in a dimension behind and above those of physical Nature. Thus, the Ancients coined the phrase "as above, so below". This means that that which is below, is (in essence) like that which is above.

Studying the Ways of Nature gives us a glimpse of the Divine Ways, and from these we see the returning of the Seasons (reincarnation) and the laws of Cause & Effect (Karma) concerning the use (and misuse) of the Earth's land, air, resources, and living creatures. The ways of Spirit are imprinted upon the Ways of Nature. Understanding Nature, allows one to begin to understand the Creators.

The Bitch Goddess!

The Queen of Swords has been through many trials, many conflicts in her life. She has weathered them with strength and courage, standing steadfast in the face of misfortune and sorrow. She has lost loved ones and experienced pain; but instead of letting these experiences make her bitter, she has let them temper her and strengthen her resolve. She is realistic and pragmatic; she is a loyal friend and determined ally.

Why Me???

Often times, we find ourselves in situations that seem very discouraging, frustrating, almost desparate and unbearable. Take heart my friends. Though I am not Christian, I am reminded of a wonderful phrase from the bible that says: God will never give you any more problems than you can handle. It's such a simple, but powerful statement.

Many of these situations are brought on by a need for change. When Spirit sees that you are completely unaware or simply not listening to your heart, situations will come about to force you into making the necessary changes to fulfill your life's purpose.

We are all lightworkers in our own way. We all have our positive contribution to make to the evolution, healing & spiritual growth of the universe. Remember the cosmic web? We are all connected & each & every motion, thought & reaction affect the intricate patterns of those energy threads.

All this points to a simplistic life view...Strive to fulfill your life's purpose...to know it, to understand it, to perfect it...& by doing so, you will positively contribute to all life, as well as keep your own karma from any harmful consequences.

Galloping toward a solution...

I have a friend, who shall remain nameless for obvious reasons. This friend has been going through a very trying time. It really has more to do with inner turmoil, than anything tangible. The confusion is mounting, the emotions are stirring, & the anxiety continues to build. Why can't I seem to find Love in my life? Where is this path leading me? Asking yourself questions is very important, but can also point to indecisiveness. If you dig deep enough within the psyche, you will often find there is only one underlying problem that will facilitate the solution to all the others.

So, with that little prologue...here's the Animal Spirit who came through for the answer:

Here's a reading for all of you, using the Angel Cards. I have always loved working with angels. Their power is near limitless. Most accomplished witches know that the majority of rituals, spells & otherwise magickal moments need to be synchronized with the planetary influences. However, since angels are celestial in their own right, they are capable of superceding or bypassing any ill planetary alignments.

Anyway...I have Doreen Virtue's Messages from the Angels, Healing with the Angels & Healing with the Faeries decks & frequently conduct readings with all three. It's amazing how accurate they are & the amount of positive influence they can have on your state of mind.

My question to the Angels was: What do my readers need to know?
